How well am I? + A Gift for You! :)

Dear EQuipped Leaders,

I’m extra excited to write to you this week because we’ve been preparing a summer gift for you, and I finally get to share it with you today!

We want to give you a free, one hour course on How to Nurture Wholistic Well-being. :)

I’m especially passionate about sharing this with you because of my personal experience taking this course. It’s been over a year since I was first introduced to the content, and I continue to see how it impacts these five areas of my life:

Occupational Well-being

Emotional Well-being

Financial Well-being

Spiritual Well-being

Physical Well-being

When I took the wellness inventory and course, I was teaching full-time while also serving in an admin role in the height of Covid. I joined a zoom teacher support group where I was introduced to this framework of wellness. I was pretty resistant to taking the inventory because I was worried about what I might discover:

How well was I actually? Did I even want to know? Could I face whatever I learned about myself?

It turns out that I had a lot of room for growth when it came to well-being! And while getting still and quiet and honest was difficult for me, it’s also the reflective pause I needed to take some serious stock of my life.

I had heard about the importance of “self care” before, but I had no idea what that actually meant or how to go about taking care of myself in different areas of my life. The inventory and course gave me the language and structure I needed to move forward.

I believe this is especially important for anyone raising, teaching, or coaching children because so many people are depending on you. As our CEO Adam Sáenz says when he’s delivering key notes to educators:

It takes a whole teacher to develop a whole child.

Your whole being matters and deserves nurturing.

So if doing something for yourself feels indulgent or selfish, I would invite you to question that judgment. I believe the kindest thing you can do for those depending on you is learn how to nurture yourself well.

Okay, let’s get into it!!!

Here is a breakdown of the online course:

It’s taught by Adam in his gorgeous studio, so in addition to providing Adam's expertise in emotional intelligence, it’s also an enjoyable and bite-sized viewing experience. (He also plays jazz in the background during the journaling time, which to me is just next level!)

The course is normally $75.99, but if you use the coupon code Summer22, the cost is waived. Enter the coupon code to the right when you create your account. Here’s mine as an example:

Are you ready to jump in?!? There’s a short intro video, and then you can access the wellness inventory and get rollin’ on your own wellness journey!

I’m making the month of June all about wellness here on the blog, so I’ll be sharing personal stories of how I am applying the lessons learned through this course in my own life.

I’m so glad you’re here. Let’s be well together this summer!

Elizabeth graduated with a B.A. and M.A. in English from the University of Central Arkansas. She taught English for a decade and got to read and write alongside kids in 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. The Applied EQ Group played an important role in her own personal EQ Intervention, and she is grateful to be able to spread the love and EQuip, empower, and encourage others. :)
